The Crunchy Writer’s Vegan Bath | Recipe

I love baths. I don’t do them enough, but when I do, it’s usually a few hours after I’ve cleaned the tub for the week.


It’s great after a long day of measuring ingredients, cooking, marketing myself, working, etc, etc.


But when I first began this health journey, I wasn’t sure where to get vegan bath products. And more so, I wasn’t sure I wanted to find any! 


I wanted to make my own. With very little help, if any, from a bottled product.


So, here’s what I came up with…




  • 2 cups Epsom Salt
  • 2 pinches of Dried Rosemary
  • 2 tbsp of Baking Powder
  • 1/2 capful of Raw Sugar Body Wash


The result? You tell me how good this looks!





But wait, why these ingredients? And are they really vegan?


The Why


Epsom salt helps with acne, lack of volume in hair, oily hair, mosquito bits, stress, etc.


Rosemary contains iron, calcium, and phytonutrients. It is a natural astringent, acne fighter, and even helps protect skin cells from sun and free radicals.


Baking powder helps with everything from teeth whitening to yeast infections. It eases acne, rashes, sunburn, blackheads, and acne scars.


Whoa, right? 


It’s actually the only thing I use to keep my smile white. No Crest Whitestrips here!


And as for the one bottled product? I’m reviewing Raw Sugar in a different post.
